World XI Squad Declared Against Pakistan


World XI squad 2017 has been announced for 3 T20 matches against Pakistan. The world xi vs pakistan 2017 command has handed over to the Test and T20 captain Faf du Plessis of Africa. In the World T20 XI squad five South Africans, three from Australia, two from West Indies, one player from Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, England and New Zealand were selected.


Apart from Faf, opener Hashim Amla, middle-order batsman David Miller, leg spinner Imran Tahir and fast bowler Morne Morkel have also been selected from South Africa .  Leg-spinner Samuel Badree and former captain Darren Sammy from West Indies, all-rounder Thesara Pereira from Sri Lanka, Tamim Iqbal from Bangladesh, Paul Collingwood from England and George Bailey, Ben Cutting and Tim Pan from Australia have been included. Allrounder Grant Elliott has been included from New Zealand. No player has been included from Team India.


World XI vs Pakistan Schedule 2017

World XI vs Pakistan first T20 match to be played on September 10. The three T20 matches of the series between Pakistan and World XI will be played in Lahore. Former coach Zimbabwe’s former great wicketkeeper Andy Flower has been selected. This series is very important for Pakistan no major international series has been played since 2009. Zimbabwe had definitely visited Pakistan in 2015. But in the second one-day there was a major explosion at some distance from Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.

ICC welcomes World XI tour to Pakistan

After the announcement of the World XI Squad. The ICC has welcomed the tour of the World XI which will go to Lahore to play the three-match series in September. The team includes South African greats like Faf du Plessis, Hashim Amla, former international captains like England’s Paul Collingwood, George Bailey of Australia and Darren Sammy of the West Indies. ICC director Giles Clarke who was working as the chairman of the Pakistan Task Force, Clarke has positive that the series would success to be the first step towards returning international cricket in Pakistan as the T20 International match against Pakistan and the West Indies at the end of this year.

Paul Collingwood fear About Security

Former England all-rounder Paul Collingwood can play in a T20 series in Pakistan next month. Callingwood has admitted that he has been approached to play a T20 cricket series in Pakistan next month. However, Collingwood said that in the event if there is a strong security arrangement, I can play T20 series in Pakistan. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is planning a three-match T20 series with the World XI in its own country.

Significantly, former England captain Paul Collingwood’s name recently came to the headlines when he became the oldest player to score a century in T20 cricket. 41-year-old Collingwood, who retired from international cricket he made his maiden century in T20 cricket. In the NatWest T20 blast, he played an unbeaten 108 against Warshestshire, playing on behalf of Durham. During this, he faced 60 balls and added 10 fours and four sixes. With his innings, Collingwood became the oldest batsman to score a century in T20 cricket.
