Mumbai HC Upholds Ban On Fire Crackers : After Delhi-NCR, it has now been banned for selling firecrackers in the residential areas of Maharashtra. The Bombay High Court has ordered that firecrackers not be sold in residential areas. The court has asked the administration not to release new licenses for sale of firecrackers. Mumbai HC Upholds Ban On Fire Crackers : The Mumbai High court ban on fire crackers illegally sale in the state’s residential areas including Mumbai. On the occasion of Diwali, a petition was filed in the High Court on behalf of Malad Fireworks Welfare Association and Jewel Cell Agency Dadar for issuing immediate licenses for the sale of firecrackers. Chandrakant Lashur, a resident of Nasik, filed a public interest petition in the Bombay High Court to ban illegal sale of firecrackers in Bombay High Court.
